Most of us knew this was coming but last Wednesday Apple showed off their new iPad. There wasn't much that was surprising about the announcement expect for the fact that Steve Jobs himself made the keynote. Jobs has been on sick leave and wasn't expected to be there to show off Apple's newest toy.
The iPad 2 is thinner and has a faster processor and 9x faster video. Also front and rear facing camera for facetime and recording movies. The big question is if it's worth an update. I have had my iPad for almost a year now and love it. I use it everyday and rarely go somewhere without it. For me the upgrades are nice but not enough to make me want to upgrade. The only way I could see myself wanting to upgrade is if I decide that the 16g model isn't enough and I need more room. Plus the fact that this year I want the NGP and it's time to upgrade the 3gs to the newest iPhone in the Summer.
It has some nice improvements and if you don't have one yet you should grab one. However for me I'm going to stay with what I have now and maybe upgrade next year when the iPad 3 comes out.
